Shannon trained in Massage Therapy at the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge and, 15 years later, at Spatech Institute in Ipswich. In between her massage trainings, Shannon became a Certified Reflexologist, completing a 300+ hour professional certification program in Reflexology, including specialized training in Oncology and Reflexology; and PTSD and Reflexology. She attended The New England Institute of Reflexology (studying with Valerie Voner) and Universal Studies in Watertown.
For clients seeking relaxation massage and Reflexology sessions, Shannon’s approach is fluid, rhythmic, and deeply nurturing using broad, long, connecting strokes. For clients seeking problem-specific work, Shannon utilizes a variety of techniques to address patterns of pain and tissue restriction that interfere with activities of daily life and performance. She customizes each session to the needs and goals of her clients. Doing this type of work combines her interest in anatomy and pathology. Her clients come from a variety of backgrounds, degrees of wellness, and range in age from 5 to 85 years old.
Shannon is passionate about bringing Reflexology and massage to special populations and organizations. She has volunteered in support of Lucy’s Love Bus, PinkHippy.org, Project New Hope, and There and Back Again.
Shannon ran a successful private Reflexology practice, Sole Endeavor Reflexology, for five years in Chelsea, MA while also seeing clients at Bodyography Wellness Center in Melrose. She is a professional member in good standing with the American Massage Therapy Association and the Massachusetts Association of Reflexology where she is serving her fourth year as President. When not practicing massage or Reflexology, you will find her playing with her children, creating art, knitting, and sewing.
