Acupuncture » How Does Acupuncture Work?

The energy, or qi, that moves and regulates our muscles, nerves, organs and mind follows specific pathways, or meridians, which flow throughout our bodies. This qi flow keeps us alive and healthy. If this energy is blocked or unbalanced due to injury, stress or life trauma, we become ill or out of sorts.

Inserting hair-fine disposable needles, and/or applying heat with an herbal technique called moxabustion, at carefully chosen points on the meridians can help the qi become rebalanced and health is restored.

What Are The Benefits?

Acupuncture has been successful in treating a broad range of conditions, ranging from severe illness and pain, to just feeling tired, stressed, or “not quite right.” It has been very useful in treating the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
